About Me

I caught my first fish at
21 years old.

It was pouring rain all morning. I hadn’t caught anything but grass (and maybe a cold) all morning. But after so much trial and error, I was finally rewarded with a beautiful Alabama spotted bass! That little fish lit a fire in me to learn more and become the best angler I could be.

What kind of fishing do I do?

The better question is what kind of fishing don’t I do? I am a bank fisherman and kayak fisherman at my core. I’ve spent all my time in freshwater, but I hope to change that soon and try my hand at salt water. I fish from a boat with friends when I can, but I don’t own one myself. I’ve fished with a range of rods ranging from heavy punching rods to fly rods (albeit not well). I’ll try anything!

I’m far from a professional, but I LOVE what I do!

Spending time on the water in the outdoors searching for fish has changed my life in so many ways. My goal on this site is to demystify fishing.  My hope is that if I can break down the world of fishing with videos and posts the world of fishing will be more attainable to women and girls who may be overwhelmed with the current information out there. More than anything, I hope this page convinces some girls out there to chase after a life changing fish of their own!
